Good luck with everything!
Here’s an update from Oxford Brookes University to start the clearing discussion. This is regarding how clearing works for different courses.

Courses fall into two broad categories, those that require interviews or portfolios and those that do not. For example, a Philosophy application will not require an interview, while an Adult Nursing application will require an interview. The details of the course, including UCAS Tariff point requirements can be found on the course page in case you are unsure.

For a course that does not require an interview, assuming you have achieved the required grades, we can make you a verbal offer over the phone. You will then be sent instructions on how to refer yourself to Oxford Brookes via UCAS.

For a course that does require an interview or a portfolio, you should expect to hear from faculty within 24 hours of referring yourself to Oxford Brookes on UCAS. Once faculty have assessed the portfolio or conducted the interview, you should expect to hear back from the Admissions Team within 24 hours.

If you are interested in Clearing, please consider coming to our Clearing Open Campus on 19 August!

You may still be wondering what you need to do to apply through Clearing. Luckily, it’s not too complicated and you will receive clear instructions throughout the process.

First, you just need to call our Clearing line to let us know which course you are interested in and then tell us your grades. Please be aware, Clearing at Oxford Brookes is only available to home applicants. International applicants will need to apply for the next available intake.

As you tell us your grades we fill out an online form on your behalf and either make you a verbal offer or refer you to the Faculty. If we make you an offer, you should receive an email by the end of that day with instructions on how to refer yourself to us on UCAS.

Please be aware, we may need further documentation from you (i.e. GCSE certificates, English language qualifications etc.) and these can be provided to us by responding to the email we send you.

If you have any further questions about clearing, feel free to respond to this post or ring us up on our Admissions or Clearing line.
