Level 3 Criminology Research

I'm starting my level 3 criminology course in September and I have been given transition work that I'm struggling with, particularly the research because I don't know what the best websites are to use. So here are my questions:
What are the best websites for completing research in criminology?

Its not an A level - its a daft WJEC Applied Diploma.
Its full of True Crime nonsense and is a waste of time.

Take A level Sociology instead - this includes study of crime/deviancy and actually has some academic credibility.
