first job, really scared

i really want to get a job, ive recently turned 16 and ive finished my GCSEs now.
im looking at barista jobs or a retail assistant at some quiet places, however im not entirely convinced that i can do it.
im really shy. i go red at everything. but im a quick learner, and i really want to push myself before i go to 6th form because i find myself ridiculous with my social skills, lol.

is it worth becoming a barista even if I struggle a lot right now with socialising? i can work well in group projects or if there’s a goal i need to achieve, yet im not entirely sure i could handle strangers? im also scared of coworkers and stuff but that’s an issue for another time.

anyways, has anyone experienced this too? did you just go for it? was it worth it?

mate if your not gonna do these things and sort yourself out how are you gonna be able to work efficiently and become successful in the future? most people have had this problem but all you need to do is face your fears and push yourself. get the job and watch over time your confidence will build and improve massively. im 18 and a few years ago my public speaking was very bad, I would stutter and go red. but I thought to myself I need to fix this problem so I started doing speeches in my school, volunteered for local charities and now it isnt an issue any more and because I improved on my public speaking I have recently just secured a role as an online maths and English tutor.
