ppe or economics

i have an offer for PPE at UEA but im considering changing to straight econ since i realised i cannot drop politics in my 2nd year. This means id be limited to 2 economics modules a year which i dont think will be sufficient to get onto an economics or otherwise mathematical masters. Is this true or would ppe still allow me to go onto such masters? Also does ppe have the reputation of being a bit of a ****take degree compared to economics or is it still highly regarded by big employers?
