A rather unfortunate situation during my younger years involving something like this lead to the quick realisation I was in fact rahter allergic.
Oh his parents frantic concern of why my face had turnd all puffy and blotchy. they were utterly confounded as to why it would suddenly have just happend while we were in his room "watching movies"...
