Getting into Med school while in uni for another subject

If someone is starting university in any subject that is not medicine (like physics or something), can they apply to medicine and get in while still in university (of course, leaving the uni IF they get an offer)?

I don't think med schools accept people who drop out of their previous degree. If you've started the degree then you need to finish it and apply for grad med or undergrad med as a graduate, if you haven't started then I would suggest deferring and re-applying to medicine. No point in paying for another degree if medicine is what you want to do because grad med is very competitive.
