Hi guys, i just want to ask that is it is easy to get into this course? And is the job scope for this field is good?
I actually applied for a different course but got a offer for the radiography courses.

Is it is easy to get into this course? Not really - usually you need to be interviewed and have relevant shadowing and work/volunteering experience to be offered a place.

And is the job scope for this field is good? Diagnostic radiographers are in demand and are employed widely across the NHS and private healthcare providers. Starting salary for the NHS is band 5 - currently around £28,407 (a bit more in London).

Have a look at the following thread for an insight into working as a DR:

Thanks for your reply.

Only accept an alternative offer if you are genuinely interested in the course and pursing a career in DR. If you don't enjoy it and drop out, then you might not be able to fund another degree. Do your research and decide if this course is for you. Also, consider taking a gap year to reapply for the course you want to do (what course did you apply for?).
hi, i've got conditional offers from uni of hertfordshire and uni of suffolk. i've firmed hertfordshire, but it requires me to hit a grade above my predicted grade in my science a-level, and made suffolk my insurance choice as they gave me an offer i most likely can achieve.

however the decision for which uni i exactly want to go to is still difficult - the environment for both were satisfactory but i liked hertfordshire's + their accommodation more and i talked to someone who works as a radiographer now who spoke really passionately about their time at herts which was encouraging, but suffolk has placements including the hospital in my hometown and the accommodation is overall cheaper and i ended up making friends when i visited so a part of me wants to go to suffolk at the same time lol. and i'm not really interested in night life (and i liked the fact that the unis were relatively calmer and quieter than say the london unis i visited) so i'm not sure if these unis tend to have loud nights ever. anyone maybe heard which uni is better to go to? / does anyone have advice? thanks!

I applied for Dental Hygiene and Therapy course. I have done research about the Diagnostic Radiography since I have got this offer. Actually i am interested in any healthcare course which has a good scope. After doing my research i was thinking to go to sonography if i accept this offer . What do you think about it?
Ok

The traditional route for sonographers is to qualify as a radiographer, midwife, nurse, etc. and then, with work experience, secure a training place for sonography within a hospital trust and take a further qualification. It is extremely competitive to get one of the training places. Is the DR with sonography foundation course HCPC approved?

Besides sonography, there are opportunities to specialise in other areas of medical imaging, so DR as a qualification has a lot of scope.
Thanks

If you've already made your firm and insurance decisions on UCAS, then you can only change them up to 14 days after (it might be possible to change after this time but it is a lot more complicated). On results day, if your firm accepts you, then your insurance choice disappears and you can't change.

In terms of employment, it won't matter which uni you go to. Decide now if you really need to change your decisions or if you are happy to stick with what you have already chosen.

Yes it is HCPC approved so i can register as DR after completing this 3 years course and it will also give me the foundation for sonography at the same time. Do you think it does worth? And with the foundation in sonography will it be easier to secure place in future for sonography courses?
Ok
