Statistically speaking, no candidate has "a good chance of getting in to do maths" at Cambridge, given that there are 6 applicants per place - the vast majority of which will meet or exceed the A*A*A entry requirement.

In addition to your GCSE and A level grades, your performance at interview and in STEP will also be key.

It's difficult for the above not to sound pessimistic. That's not my intention. About 250 maths applicants get in every year. Why shouldn't one of them be you? :smile:
