Early childhood/early years studies MA valid for staff ratios?

Hi, I'm thinking about doing postgraduate early childhood studies (probably at northumbria) instead of EYTS. Does it work the same in terms of staff ratios? Will I be qualified to work in a nursery with this qualification? Also if I got a pgce 3-7 would I be able to work in a nursery with it?

My understanding is that without assessed placement hours a degree in early years does not qualify as full and relevant so cannot be included in ratios. Some programmes have an Early Childhood Graduate Practitioner Competencies add-on at bachelors and also at Masters level. This qualifies you to work in a nursery at Level 6 (Uni of Sunderland has a MA Childhood and Youth Studies with Early Years Graduate Practitioner Competencies).
