Can anyone help with my timetable?

I am studying MPharm at the University of Huddersfield and I have checked my timetable and there seems to be a lot of slots named 'Flying Start Pharmacy', I was wondering what this meant, if it is a generic name for the start of the course or whether it will get more specific later on. And what is independent guided study? Is it a simple as the name suggests?

Hi @Nisbeicks

Hope you're settling in so far?

Flying Start is our week of introducing you to University services- Careers, Wellbeing, Enterprise and more.

As i'm sure you'll hear / may have heard by now, these services are here to help you during your time and some even after you graduate.

Make sure to use them if you need them- there are people working for us specifically to help you and our other students with those areas. For example, if you're looking for a part-time job during your studies, our Careers team have a website full of jobs specifically for our students, they can check your CV before you apply for roles and they can provide interview advice/mock interviews to help you prepare

Although being new, your studies and socialising may be your primary interest now, check out those services when you need their support and they'll be more than happy to help you with whatever issues you have.

Best wishes,
Lewis
