Student finance question

Asking for a friend.

Enrolled onto pharm with foundation year, got thru foundation yr but now resitting 1st year =6 year study in total. Will student finance still fund both tuition + maintenance as usual? Or after the 5th year of study is it self funded

Hi the course is pharmacy with foundation year so 5 years in total (1 yr foundation 4 of pharmacy)
Now my friend is needing to repeat year 1 of pharmacy making the course 6 years long in total.
