what do i do?
hey guys. i know this is ultimately a choice i need to decide for myself but i’m stuck.
i’m 18 and work at pets at home currently and i’m starting to train in dog grooming. i’m enjoying it so far but if i were to work full time, i’d only get £23k a year before tax.
i want to eventually have my own place and live comfortably. get a dog. i don’t have a partner so it’d just be my money.
i still live with my parents so i can save money but i’m wondering if a future relying on myself is viable with this wage? i know many people earn this kinda money but i don’t want to be scraping by every month.
university is something i’ve considered but the only thing i’m really interested in is english and i can’t see that earning me a wage any better than what i’ll get with my work now.
