How can I study in the USA as a UK student?

I am currently studying the IBDP in England taking higher physics, maths analysis, dt, and standard english lit and lan, spanish and geography.
I have been looking into studying in another country such as America. How does the application process work? Should I take the SAT or ACT or apply test optional.
Thanks

Just be aware that USA Overseas fees are high and you will also have to find money for living expenses, flights etc.

An easier/cheaper way of doing this is to do a UK degree 'with Study Abroad' - you then get a year in the USA etc as part of your UK degree.

i had the same question
if you're interested in applying to a us college or university and it says the sat or act is optional, i would still take it. i would aim for the score that is good enough for the specific university. us universities have different desires when it comes to selecting students, so i would look into that.
