According to the following, you would need a degree or apprenticeship to become an occupational therapist:

The NHS health careers link states that you should be able to apply for apprenticeships with a BTEC in any subject. However, you would need to check the entry requirements of the individual apprenticeship yourself: https://www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/career-planning/study-and-training/nhs-apprenticeships

Using the HCPC search engine to look for approved courses, there are 68 approved undergrad degrees in the country:

Looking at the first 4 degree courses (because I am not checking all of them):

https://www.brunel.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/Occupational-Therapy-BSc - BTEC in Health and Social Care accepted
https://www.canterbury.ac.uk/study-here/courses/occupational-therapy - BTEC in any subject accepted
https://www.cardiff.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/course/occupational-therapy-bsc - only BTEC in Health Studies is accepted (not sure if this includes Health and Social Care, so you would need to contact them to check).

So short answer: yes.
