CS Cambridge

Is having 3 A*s and an A predicted good for Cambridge? The A was in Further Maths and I'm slightly conscious about not having a clean sweep of A*s.

Three A* predictions is good. It is not ideal that your further maths prediction is A , however, the TMUA score will hold more weight than your predicted grades.

What about the FM prediction being an A makes it not ideal? I thought they looked at 3 best A levels

Well an A* prediction in FM would be ideal! However, if you do well in the TMUA then this will carry more weight than your A level predictions. I know of someone last year, predicted A*A*A* in Maths, FM and CS and applied to CS at Cambridge. Didn’t do a great TMUA and got rejected pre-interview. The TMUA is more important than predicted grades.
