The Student Room Group

ILR

Hello, I have lived in uk for 2 years and I hold indefinite leave to remain. my parents are uk national. I applied for student loan because I really want to start my course as soon as possible without any gap. Will I be eligible for student loan this year though I have one more year to be home student.

Hi Taarak,

Where did you live before you arrive in the UK?

Thanks, Graeme

Hi Taarak,

You need to reside in the UK 3 years prior to the first day of the first academic year of the course. You would only be eligible if you start your course after that 3 year period.

Thanks, Clare
