Bristol can , and do use the whole application period. So whilst some applicants may here straight away others will be put on hold to allow the admissions team to get an idea of the strength of the applicant pool. If the date for submission is January and not the October deadline then you may have a long wait.

Bristol put the vast majority of applicants on hold, it’s very standard for them!

I applied on Monday evening and got an offer yesterday (Thursday), but I'm applying for Modern Languages so it isn't a super popular subject :smile:

25.10.23 - update: my offer has been reduced from ABB to BBC? I think its probably due to my extenuating circumstances but am a bit confused given that this was included on my UCAS already and I haven't filled in Bristol's own extenuating circumstances form

I just applied to Modern Languages and they don't ask about language choices until after you accept your offer, but for me it would be french (post a-level) and i'm undecided about my second language atm (possibly portuguese but this made up no part of my application)
