Being ignored

Sometimes when I greet my friends or say goodbye at the end of the day they don't reply or look at me but the rest of the time they will talk to me. Is it likely that they've just got something else on their mind or didn't hear me or am I just being ignored?

How disappointing (they could all be meditating, or have hearing impairment, or have ear buds in or perhaps be intoxicated?) It's probably because you are not viewed as a 'top dog' or an important social member of the group. If you said 'goodbye' loud enough and often enough and are still ignored then their reaction is just sad. It is usually the sign of a toxic group - more concerned with power and social status amongst each other rather than being genuine friends with others.
