How to not study slowly

Even when i do have a plan on what I'm going to study, my resources, etc for some reason it would take me hours to get past one bullet point and i'd often not complete what i want to accomplish. How do i go through my targets quickly in a study session?

put on a timer for a short amount of time (I heard 3 minutes is the optimum) and work without stopping. There are productivity apps that can help you not to get distracted as well.
