SAAS nursing and midwifery bursary and maternity leave

Hi I'm currently 6 months into maternity leave from my Scottish Adult nursing course. I'm starting to organize my return to uni and had an email from my head of year saying that as I've had 6 months paid mat leave SAAS won't pay my bursary when I come back for the last 6 months of my course. No one has mentioned this before and I can't find anything online that back this up. Have any other Scottish students taken maternity leave in second year and did it cut your bursary short? I'm stressed.

I took a year out I’m in Edinburgh (Napier uni) and they’ve funded my final year. You’re entitled to 4 years funding. Hope this helps x

Thank you so much. I've been panicking as my head of year told me I'd be getting no bursary. I'd have to drop out of that was the case.
