Do guys pay for first dates anymore?

I'm in my early 20s and I'm okay with splitting the bill but I have to admit it would be nice if a guy would payon our first date but that never happened to me.

Question for guys in my age range do you still pay on the first date if you like the girl or do you always split the bill no matter what?

In my experience whoever picks the place pays. For the first date that’s normally the man I generally pick the place for the second date so I pay

I would say the asker will normally want to pay. I’m not a fan of bill splitting, it’s better to pay for different things on a date or to alternate. Romance is about giving little gifts rather than a financial transaction
