mfl dilemma

hi guys! im in year 10 and im currently doing my gcses. Aside from the core 7 , I took geography , computing and dt. I didn't choose a language, as I was planning to a GCSE in my home language, Tamil instead. Not going to great, Im alright like I can read and write but with SO MANY spelling mistakes , like im not where near ready for a GCSE , which ill be doing in April 2024. btw the exam board is Cambridge.

Im considering switching dt to Spanish , both offered at my school. Im fairly good at Spanish an ik if I put effort in , including the good teaching and resources my school provides, I can probity do well. But I love dt as well , I always have. Again, the GCSE may be more stressful and time consuming than the idea of dt itself, which makes me more obliged to change it , as a language is probably gonna help me more.

Should I continue with dt and Tamil , even though I hate doing Tamil, or risk losing dt and change to Spanish?
