Applications as a private candidate.
Hi,
I'm a self study A-level student (currently 18 years of age) hoping to sit exams privately in 2025. I have two questions: how do I go about obtaining a suitable reference? And is it possible for me to become an oxford student, specifically to study history, given my situation?
Any help will be greatly appreciated - self study is rather isolated.

if you are sitting your exams privately then your going to submit your application privately aswell, it means if your not in school then your referee should be a manager at work, a social worker, or a volunteering manager (if you are volunteering). Basically anyone who supervises you and you're not related to.
