Hi Cwacaster,

You can buy a monthly bus & tram pass from TFL, and you can get a 30% discount on it if you have an 18+ Student Oyster Photocard, which you can apply for if you are currently a student and living in a London borough. You'll need some form of Oyster card to add the bus pass to, but it can be used on any bus and tram in London (including Kingston).

You can also pay as you go with contactless payments or an Oyster card on its own, but if you're taking the bus twice daily I would definitely recommend adding the bus pass as it's cheaper.

Alternatively, Kingston University also has an intersite bus service that is free of cost to any Kingston students and travels through Kingston and Surbiton.
