Please help

Hi, I'm an s3 away to move I to s4, and im choosing my choices for this year. I am pretty interested In Neurosurgery and so I want to take the 3 sciences. The problem is, I have only taken physics in s3 and I was told taking N5 bio and chem would be too difficult as I would be behind as they are starting N5 now and we are switching subjects in May.

I'm very lost here and don't want all my hopes for neurosurgery to be gone. Please give me some advice.

Hi there
National 5 is easy to pick up, as it’s the basics of that subject. N4 really doesn’t give you that much and you can really pick up any subject without prior knowledge. I literally don’t remember anything I’ve been taught in S3 biology, and it feels like I’m learning everything from the start at Nat 5. If you feel like you want to do 3 sciences, then go for it! Don’t listen to others about it being ‘too hard’ - some people crash subjects as Highers and they’re totally fine. Best of luck
