Besides my UNI, who else should I notify about my ADHD?

I am just waiting for my UNI to get back to me; I haven't notified student finance/the DSA about it yet because I figured that I would reach out to them when I am 100% sure about starting medication, which I currently am not.

You don't need to wait to apply for DSA. As long as you have a diagnosis then go ahead.
Hi,
You don't need to wait to apply for DSA. I also have ADHD, I am pretty sure that taking medication wasn't a requirement of receiving help through DSA. I would recommend contacting the disability team at your university, as they will be able to help you with a LSP (learning support plan), as well as DSA.

I hope this helps!

Hi… I would agree with the others, try to apply for DSA asap - it can take a while to get the ball rolling! When you have your needs assessment done they assess what kind of software and other support they feel would be good for you. You get allocated a Study Skills Tutor and/or a Specialist Mentor who supports you for the duration of your university journey. I would highly recommend making sure that when you have your needs assessment done you are not just dished out to a large agency but to a provider who actually cares about their students! Let me know if you need help with this - I can definitely make recommendations🙂
