Considering a police degree apprenticeship

I’ve always done creative things before- I completed one year of animation degree. But I realised I’d like a job that helps people, I could set up a small business/ still do creative stuff for a hobby.

I have considered a political based career otherwise. I’m a lesbian woman, so that’s something I’m very wary of in regards to the police- as in there could be a clash with it being male dominate/ I’ve heard of some homophobia within the force.

Any advice please!

Homophobia existing in every organisations not just law enforcement, in recent year law enforcement has been under a heavier public spotlight for reasons that are completely valid. But the only way industries and organisations change is recruiting people from all walks of life who care about that line of work, I would go for it, if you care about that field of work, and want to be part of the solution do it.
