Further maths a level in gap year

Do you think it would be possible to do Further Maths A level in gap year and apply for Maths at unis such as Warwick, Ucl, Durham, imperial etc in the gap year.
Basically i wanted to do dentistry so didnt do FM but am now considering doing maths, ive actually got a Maths offer at Bristol which was my 5th choice whilst other 4 being dent

Yeah it's definitely possible, many schools teach Further Maths in one year anyway as a double subject (with Maths being taught in the first). You may find some difficulty in getting a predicted grade if you're self-teaching but that shouldn't necessarily impede you if you have have your situation explained in your reference.
