can i ask for rent back if a boiler has broken?
I live in a student house with 3 others, our boiler broke and their company plumbers have come to fix it one four different occasions until they just now put a new one in. As we've been without hot water or heating for over 24h in total, is it reasonable to ask for some of the rent to be returned?
This has been an issue spanning over almost a month and they've only done temporary fixes until now leaving us with having to manually reset it, just not use it, or use it for a maximum of 20 mins then turn it off.

24 hours is not long so I don't think you can.
Generally speaking you shoud not be without heating or hot water for more than 24hrs.
