London Uni Options

i’m in year 12 right now and getting decent grades. I expect to get A*A*AA in my Y12 mocks.

however I was one mark off a grade 6 in english language GCSE. Majority of london unis want a grade 6. Would i still have a chance of being accepted if i improve my grades higher?

want to do either economics or computer science

GCSE requirements are normally "hard" requirements as they represent the minimum standard required for the degree/uni. So if they require a GCSE grade of 6 in English language and you apply with a 5 or below and are not retaking, you would normally be automatically rejected. You should plan to retake the English language GCSE or look at other unis. I'd suggest retaking it in year 12 if you can!

Ask your school if you can resit the GCSE exam next summer. Usually easy to arrange.
You would put this as a another 'pending' exam and any offer would include this an extra condition.
