Can I ask to be exempt for jury duty ?
I am being summoned for jury duty and I have already deferred it . I fear it will effect my likely hood of finding a internship as the paied ones are pretty decent , if not I may not even be able to find a job to make enough to pay rent , I need to work to make money to pay rent but I am a student so I can't during term time besides little tutoring jobs but they don't give that many hours etc .. what can I do?
If you don't want to do it and are definitely unable to get it rescheduled again, just tell them that you don't think you'll be able to make a decision based strictly on the law because of your beliefs. You'll be deemed ineligible.
