The Student Room Group

Does anyone have anything good to say about BIMM at all?

I am starting my degree there this September but after reading a lot of comments on here I am feeling a little apprehensive I have to admit. I'm excited for it but a little more worried now than I was. Is it really as awful as everyone is saying? I feel a degree, especially this kind, is heavily reliant on self study and doing extra free time practice anyway so I'm fine with that. That is a main complaint that I see, people not being spoon fed like it is secondary school.

Three of my son's friends are there.

The positives are that some of the tutors are knowlegable and engaged and if you are motivated you have access to good facilities. If you work hard you can do well.

The downsides are that it is too big and there are too many students there who are not at the kind of standard you would expect & who are there to mark time.
