Ive got offers for the accountancy scheme at the national audit office and for a policy scheme at Ofcom which ones do you guys recommend I take?

I know they are different roles.

Where is each role situated (or what are the options)?
Do you do any qualifications for the Ofcom role?

For me the huge question would be how you feel about sitting accounting exams for three years, and whether you see these as a plus or a minus.

They're both in ldn. There's no qualifications for Ofcom.

I don't think I mind sitting the exams as being a chartered accountant will increase my earning potential in the future.

Sounds like the NAO might be the right choice for you!

I would go for the ACA. Once you have that, you have it for life. You might excel with Ofcom, but when you're ready to move on, what do you have to show except some experience? The ACA guarantees you only need to look for jobs paying 55k+ . Also, the work the NAO does is fascinating, across all of government. You can learn about any of it. At Ofcom you only learn about Ofcom. Still, I'm sure it's good too (Bias: I'm an NAO employee of 2 years)
