I recently got an offer from Durham university but they asked me an english language qualification although they already received my IELTS evidence.

I had something similar happen to me when I applied, I was told I needed to provde a UKVI IELTS qualification, which is used as English language qualification when applying for a UK visa to study in the UK. I'm not sure whether you're facing the same problem, but I would suggest emailing them again and asking for a clarification on what they mean by that.
