Film studies in London?

I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on OK/good places to study undergraduate film sudies or film production related courses in London. Most "good" universities in London only seem to offer this course as a joint degree, why is this? Queen Mary offers it... anyone got any idea what it's like studying film studies there? What about Metropolitan, is it OK to study film studies / film production there?

I'm in exactly the same position. Warick does Film and Literature, however there's very few places.

What Universities are respectable for Film Studies? Or even a desirable joint degree course somewhere (preferable with Philosophy)? I love film, and Media Studies is by far my best subject at AS level (and I had considerable success at GCSE), however the lack of Universities boasting recognition for their Film courses isn't great.
