aw, you are in a sicky situation. to be honest i think everyone else is right, i don't think she honestly wants to get back with you, its just that 18 months is a long time to get over, even if you are the one doing the breaking up.
i think 'the plan' is fine in practice but you need to get her to lay her cards on the table and soon. i mean, by now she should be able to open up to you about all the stuff she is feeling.
