confused - sociology!

i wonder if anybody can shed some light as i'm a bit uncertain... if i'm to do a questionnaire using a mix of open and closed questions am i taking a positivist approach or interpretist?

A mixture of both positivist and interpretivist.

Both...if you were using closed you'd be positivist and open it'd be interpritivist.

Realist approach.

mmm...theres triangulation which means using a range of methods (interview/observation etc) but i dont think it applies within a specific method?

you'll be fine though - just mention your using a combination of positivist and interpritivist :smile:
