Okay, Freshers week, to get back to the original question and overall point of the thread -

it's amazing but I really want to stress, it's what you make of it. A lot of people had a **** time, but a lot MORE people had an amazing time. There is so much on, for drinkers, non drinkers, party people, quieter people, senseless stuff, intellectual stuff. Make a point to LOOK OUT for something that might interest you, or actively seek out societies that you might like - check message boards, go to freshers fair (Christ, GO to freshers fair, you'll regret it if you don't) and have fun. And be open minded. Not everybody's a tit - people are in general quite nice.
