i've read a load of stuff bout how the accomodation was reeli bad at York and just wanted to know wt other students thought about it.....

It's not that bad. Certainly parts of it are actually pretty good, and the worst parts of it won't be there next year and replaced with the new buildings.

I'm with Laser on this. Also, before I came here I heard a lot of stuff (and in the first week) about accomodation being awful etc and seriously I can't see what the major fuss is about! Compared to some unis the accomodation here is really good.

There's quite a big difference between the nicest and the worst accommodation on campus, but I think that's more or less the same everywhere. I was in arguably some of the worst in my first year, but it was perfectly liveable & I really enjoyed living there! (The older accommodation does seem to have a better social atmosphere :smile:
