my friend has 2000 pics of her.. obv she didnt take them all, but is it abit embarrasin that your always infront of a camera on every day n night out. or does it make you look cool cuz u have loads of friends and socialise loads.

No I wouldn't be embarrassed if any pictures of me appeared on Facebook. I'd be angry, because I never gave the people that published them permission.

2000 pictures of yourself doing Myspace poses however is really vain (and potentially quite damaging to your career, unless you're a model)
there are tonens of pics of most people on there. i really hate photos, so mine are all hidden
I have millions of pictures on facebook and am really ashamed cos so many of them, I look so drunk.

LAMO at this thread! I wouldn't judge people by the number of pics they have up! I would judge them by the content of the photos...
depends if i was obscenely ugly or not.

What I don't understand is when people go somewhere and then take like a million pictures of themselves posed in front of the camera like they went to the place JUST to take pictures. When I go somewhere I like to soak up the atmosphere and just enjoy myself and relax, maybe taking a few pictures as a memory. These people have pictures at the train station, sitting on the train, getting off, going to X place, eating, getting back on the train, getting home. It's so sad!

I had loads of pictures that people tagged me in that I don't want some of my other friends seeing so I happily went around detagging them all so they wouldn't show up.
No. Not embarassed. I don't think about it to be honest.

OP what does it matter? I know loads of people at uni who have that many photos. Students go out like 3/4 nights a week, photos add up over the course of 3/4 years
Embaressed wouldnt be the word that id use, but I dont really like everyone seeing all the photos that they are on facebook of me- even people on my friends list so I detag photos of me alot of the time unless I think they are especially funny, or good photos.

Im sure that no one really thinks about it in situations other than this though, when you are specifically being asked about it.
In a word: yes.

I know a couple of people who have over 1000. They're the really irritating people who think that socialising has to be broadcast to everyone and they ALWAYS bring their ******* cameras to every single little thing to show that they went out and had a good time. Pisses me off a LOT. Yeah fine bring a camera but don't have it out constantly. There is one person in particular who took 5 albums' worth of photos on a SINGLE NIGHT. I like to know I can go out and get drunk without my entire evening being chronicled and posted on the internet later.

I have 455, all of which are me looking like a ****. (See profile) I'm not embarrassed; I forget things easily, and photos stop memories of the good times sliding away.

Loads of pictures of the same thing (posing in a mirror with a phone) is pointless, boring and annmoying. But you can get tagged in photos from days and nights out with differnt friends and they generally aren't so boring.

This.

If they are ones that other people have and have tagged her in then it's not her fault. She won't look sad for uploading them and it shows that she's out doing stuff I suppose.

It's not embarrasing, unless someone has gone to the zoo and tagged you as various animals. That was be... bad :p:
I just untag what I don't want, sometimes I have to do this several times though.
I just untag myself when I don't want the picture to be seen. Simples.
