Throughout my life I have had different people pointing me into directions without considering the results and consequences on my own. During this time without realising I developed an interest in technology, and the concepts of how it worked.

Its sounds good, but i think you should post it in the right forum area (personal statement help). Its good your starting your personal statement now, it took me aaaaaaages to finalise mine.
