How many weeks is your typical hospital pharmacy summer placement?

I've gotten an unpaid placement at a local private hospital for three weeks, however, I wish to cut this placement down to two weeks for personal reasons.

Is this too short? I'm in my second year and the only other experiance I have had is three weeks within another hospital pharmacy, I plan to finish the summer with a 5 week community placement.

No that's not too short. I have done a one week placement as well as some other longer ones. They still tend to try and show you every area, you just do it all in a shorter period of time, so expect half days in certain areas instead of a whole day or more.

As long as you're proactive you should be fine - why not ask if they have a work book for the longer placements as you might find you can still do it all in two weeks.
