Trust me the music the gym plays is so off putting. E.g LMFAO the part where the guy goes "im sex and i know it" makes me lose concentration

This is scarily true.

For weights what's good music to listen to?

don't think you can get much better than......

Can't be touched by Roy Jones Jr.

Yes! I watch this video, same song but different guy. I'm a huge fan of his fighting style (even though I recently found out that I can't do roundhouse kicks anymore because of an impingement in my hip that blocks movement :frown: )

Billy Idol 'Hot in the city' is one of my favourite songs to work out too and I like to run to anything by the Beach Boys!

I only listen to him when I'm jogging because it keeps me going longer at a slow pace

Meh. I've sparred whilst Bob Marley was playing and there was no difference in my performance. In fact, it was quite good for clearing my head and focusing on what I had to do. If you fill yourself with rage you're more likely to have an adrenaline dump or something. Being relaxed is really not a bad thing if you're trying to exercise.
I usually listen to Rammstein or some sort of house music, but Rammstein usually does the trick for me.

Even though I'm not usually into this type of music, this makes good running music: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pumped-2012-Running-Mix-Energy/dp/B006IO9XB4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1325687183&sr=8-3

Also downloaded the whole of Deadmau5 discography, which also makes really good running music.

I listen to deadmau5 a lot at the gym, love it!

I also really like power-metal, like dragonforce, while at the gym, it's just so motivating. Even just normal light metal can be pretty good like disturbed. And obviously similar stuff to deadmau5(don't really know the genre, electronica?), like the prodigy and pendulum can all be pretty motivating.

I like listening to the album 'Tell All Your Friends' by Taking Back Sunday when I'm out jogging. Prefer things like Example, LMFAO, Rizzle Kicks etc when I'm in the gym.
I'll Make A Man Out of You from Mulan, and indeed many other Disney songs which do absolutely nothing to help me.
King without a crown - Matisyahu
Rapper's Delight - The Sugarhill Song
Jump Around - House of Pain

Cos they're some funky sheet.
