Starting A-level English Language fast-track

I'm planning to start an A level in english language next year. The course I'm undertaking is a fast-track course. Which spaces out AS/A2 in one academic year.

This year just gone i retook my GCSE English lit & lang. i made a cockup in the language exam by accidently missing the last question. *didn't realise i had to turn over the paper. So i missed out on 50% of the marks..* :P

Basically i would like to start revising/learning for the course now and I was just wondering what preperation methods i could take before september & what would you guys & girls suggest?

I have bought a A-level revision book from waterstones and it looks quite interesting. What else can i do?

Read broadsheet news papers and look for language devices etc?

**I think I've posted this in the wrong section of the forum, could an admin please move this to 'academic help'**

Thanks, Matt
