2. What did you get in your first year?

Distinctions so on track for DDD

Nice I'm pleased I'm not the only person applying through BTEC at Lancaster :smile:

Have you been to any open days? I've been to one in October, i bloody loved the uni, I've become attached lol.

But if i get an offer, me and my friends who get offers will revisit and i will look at the accommodation more :smile:

. Where else are you applying? If I get an offer I plan to have a good look around with my mum and dad.

For computer science Lancaster, Kent, Lleicester.
Computer forensics at bournemouth
Ethical Hacking for Security at Northumbria

I think Lancaster will be firm and Kent will be insurance if I get the offers.

2. What did you get in your first year?
BBB (I'm resitting two of the B's)

3. Are you Female/Male?
Male

4. Have you completed your UCAS application?
Yes, sent it of last Tuesday.

Open day at Lancaster was amazing, something about the uni just felt right :biggrin:

apart from my mums nagging of how much walking we was doing it was great. Hopefully if i get an offer ill be able to revisit the campus. I need to take a look at the accommodation i only visited grizdale.

1. I'm doing a BTEC in Software Development.

1: Extended Level 3 BTEC in IT (Business)
2: D*
3: Male
4: Yes, waiting for offers

By the way I applied for the BSc, although there is no difference between the MSci and BSc in the first year as they have the exact same modules. After my first year I'd like to make up my mind about doing a graduate Masters (MSc) or undergraduate masters with industrial experience like you (MSci).

3rd year BSc student (which is a different syllabus, admittedly), but I'm a course rep, and therefore know what you'll be covering over each year (roughly). :biggrin:

Hey if I get an offer for the BSc could I then do the msci at the end if I wanted to. Also if you know any people who done btecs and how there finding the exams.

1. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at De La Salle University

4. Yep! Already got some offers but I'm awaiting Lancaster's the most.

I applied for the general Computer Science degree :biggrin:

The Admissions team told me I can apply for second year so that's what I did, but I'll be more than happy if I get accepted directly into first year.

Yes, I have offers from:
Lancaster, Northumbria and Sheffield :smile:

Lancaster got back to me within a week of sending my application off.

(I applied for the BSc as I wanted to go onto the Cyber Security MSc afterwards at Lancaster)
The only thing am worried about is the place/lancaster itself being too small as I am used to living in Manchester and working in the City centre -_-

I looked at a few accommodation and I actually found that grizdale seemed to be the best, I loved the common rooms in all of the halls. Good luck, I got an offer from Aberystwyth yesterday I'm debating between them and Coventry for my insurance choice

It's possible to do, I know a couple of postgrads that did exactly that. I'd say your best shot was to transfer at the end of the first year after results. :smile:

The department tend to be lenient with grades in my experience, and the course material for the first three years is identical to the current course. :smile:
