Hopefully Economics, but when I was picking my A-Levels I was unsure whether to do something Maths related or Science related, hence why I have Biology as my 3rd option.

what about you?

Thats a nice little combo you've got there... I'm doing bio, chems and geog for A2 hopefully applying for dentistry
Definitely dropping physics, it's caused me nothing but stress this year :|

If I was you.... revise chemistry for some part of your summer (boring!) really build your knowledge and show your teacher that the exam was just a fluke so they can predict you a decent final grade and you can retake units next year  ... did you work hard enough this year for chemistry... if you worked your butt off 24/7 and still achieved an E i dont think its the subject for you... if you believe you could of done much better (this is how i feel) then carry on and put in WORK this summer and year 13

NO WAY would i say i did my best. Like i said, maths took up more than just half of my revision time. I spent about 2 solid months on maths, 2 weeks on bio 1 week for chem & 4 days for gg. I think i did fairly well in gg and biology but Im probably gonna fail maths+/chemistry after putting in so much effort for nothing:mad::frown:

I stopped for a while now because of revision, but i was learning a bit of python and javascript  how about yourself?

Oh nice! Two of the best languages in my opinion.

I haven't really used Codecademy much, since I learnt to program before I knew about it  But I know Python, JavaScript, Visual Basic, C++ and Java
Maths has become a joke
It used to be about practice now its about maths intuition

Like sitting a french exam and they ask you to translate classic latin

How did it go? I heard it was a tough paper

I found it reasonable, not ridiculously hard but not super easy, medium I guess. And since most of the questions are 1-3 marks, atleast getting somethings wrong won't ruin the entire paper.

Just wondering- personally I'm dropping Maths because C2 exam was pure evil and S1 is my weakest point+ I've heard C3 and C4 are a pain if you have struggled with C2, So next year I will do Bio,Chem and Geography and definitely retake C2.

I'm also dropping Maths! The C2 exam went awfully and it only gets harder next year, so am definitely dropping it!

Good luck I hope you do get it in both:biggrin: is biology more essay based in the A2 year because my hand tendons and fingers will suffer with all the geography essays:frown:

I do Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics and I'll probably be dropping Physics because it's the one I find hardest. I need Biol and Chem to do Medicine at uni and I like Maths, so it's Physics that will have to go!! Plus if G484 and G485 are anything like G482, I wouldn't pass A2 anyway!!

Exactly the same situation here! I do the same subjects; physics OCR mechanics paper was awful, I was banking on a good chemistry paper today & that didn't happen either added to the fact C2 didn't go as well for me as I'd hoped. Graduate entry into med school I come :frown:
But yeah, gonna definitely drop physics, bain of my existence

I'm dropping History out of History, French, Psychology and Biology. I excelled at history in secondary school and got an A* in it, however this year was beyond stressful for me and I was only just scraping Bs in the mocks. I'm probably going to get my lowest grade in this subject so feel it's probably for the best if I drop it and focus on trying to get better grades on the other three.

The exams also weren't that fantastic for me either so I feel like I'm probably going to get a bad grade anyway :frown:

I'm dropping English Lit, I didn't enjoy it at AS and I don't need it for what I want to do at university, so I'd rather focus on my other subjects (Maths, Chem, & Bio) than do an extra A2.

When I started chemistry the naming the electron shells like 1s2.2s22p6 and stuff looked sooooo hard to me along with the moles and conc. and pretty much everything but as I progressed I realise how easy chemistry is once you get the concepts and the exams are straightforward unlike biology in which they seem to use students as guinea pigs testing new types of questions every year + on top of that I need chems to do Dentistry haha

Definitely going to drop Biology! It was a bad idea taking a science and completely irrelevant to what I want to do anyway!

Haha you took the wrong science tbh like many other people thought biology was the easy science but the exams shut them up:tongue:

I dropped geog because I hate essays.. Biol isn't as bad as what I've been told geog is, essay wise anyway!
