City Uni or Brunel Uni for Economics?

I`ve studied a year of Economics at Brunel, but failed as I didnt pass the core maths module (mainly as I didnt do A-Level maths and really struggled with the content).I took a year out and am doing A-Level maths as private candidate and got an offer from Brunel as long as I get a C in the maths im doing. I really enjoyed the uni and they offer placements and held a good number of events for employability, workshops for Excel, Sage and I volunteered at a few things. Plus this year they`ve held more programmes for employability (I keep an eye on the society and Business Life facebook pages) and they have an apprentice style event coming up to add to your CV and Bianca Miller from The Apprentice is also attending. I was all set for Brunel but I got an unconditional from City, and looked into it. It has higher ranking than Brunel and also offers placement year.Im really confused now, whichever uni I go, my main focus after grades is employability, so I want the uni which holds more events, workshops, opportunities etc for higher graduate prospects. Any Advice please? For those of you who`ve been to City, what opportunities did it offer to enhance your employability?

I advise you to go to City - It is joining the University of London and will enjoy common ressources. Moreover, as a City student, I am quite satisfied with the teaching and the opportunities - good choice of modules and opportunity to engage in extra seminars, practice, and fairs.

Also, what kinda employability activities does they hold for finance-related subjects e.g. networking, workshops, Courses etc?

I'm studying law - For employability activities I would say lots of networking, and some workshop/seminars as well sometimes

I was also dwelling over Brunel or city as Brunel was nearer to me but I felt like city was better. I study BSc management. We get emails time to time about different workshops talking place about climate change etc and also emails about their own jobs, I had an interview for one of them but I was unsuccessful. Some workshops you have to buy tickets for whereas some are free. You can also use your city credentials to log onto city careers page and book mock interviews, cv checks, LinkedIn help etc and they also have jobs advertised aswell. I've actually booked a mock interview for myself tomorrow so I'll see how it goes.

In terms of modules you have a lot of choices with electives, I'm not sure about economics though. There are also loads of past papers on moodle.

I would suggest City due to the fact that it's in the heart of London and near a lot of companies and the higher rankings and as a previous poster said it will be part of UoL soon which will make your degree look better.

Is it mainly networking or other opportunities as well, e.g. project work, skills sessions. I`d prefer the uni which holds more experience related events so I can build my skills for my CV.

Also, whats the area around and inside the uni like?
