What graph did you guys say to plot to find Cx for the capacitor question?

V2 against (V1-V2)

yea v2 against (v1-v2) and gradient=cx/cy so cy=grad/cx

shouldnt cy be cx/ gradient?
I think it was the hardest paper..
what do u guys think

Did somebody else get the value of p in Q#4 as -3553K?

That's almost my value yeah but it can't be negative
yea pleasee.. i hardly got things correct in question 1.

oops yea it was cx/gradient , I did a mistake up there!
Any idea what the boundaries will be
In question 1.. how did u calculate W1? was it from the graph or using the gradient given? i found 0.65N using the gradient method. and 0.45N using graph.. shouldnt they be similar? or did i miscalculated from the graph?

I did it from graph and it was 0.65 so they were equivalent cuz I matched with k value aswell and both methods gave 0.65 so probably you misread the graph!
what do u think the grade boundary will look like? will they do much scaling?
Okay. 1st Q: How'd you get the uncertainties? Did you use the graph anyhow? 2nd Q: Well I pretty much know what I got wrong there so whatevs. 3rd Q: .40+1.60=2.00s? 4Q: p=2.65 or sth? theoretical e=? This was so easy compared to the horror that was chemistry. Yet I choked. I feel effing miserable. Need the A too. 4 and 5 it is then, I guess
Question 1 killed the paper :frown: other than that its an okay paper
Its the strangest Q1 paper ever

What did you guys write for the things we had to measure for the question involving the capacitor?
In 1st question i multipled the lengtg by the gradient to get the weight got like 1.023 that correct?
And the uncertainity was 0.03
And pecentage was 1.47% correct?
And w2 also used same method and got .65 did what i do was correct

Would this be right as well?

V2=CxCy(V1V2)V_2 = \frac{C_x}{C_y}(V_1-V_2)
CyV2=CxV1CxV2C_y V_2 = C_x V_1 - C_x V_2
CxV2+CyV2=CxV1C_x V_2 + C_y V_2 = C_x V_1
V2(Cx+Cy)=CxV1V_2 (C_x + C_y) = C_x V_1
V2=CxCx+CyV1V_2 = \frac{C_x}{C_x + C_y} V_1

Graph of V2V_2 against V1V_1 where CxCx+Cy\frac{C_x}{C_x + C_y} is the gradient.

I think all of that is wrong.
