I know a guy living in a 2 bedroom flat in the west.

Costs £400,000

For the same price you could get a 5 bedroom refurbished house in Southampton.

Ikr, my dream house costs nearly £63m in London lol

£250k

Detached, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, front and back garden, patio, garage and a large drive (can park up to 4 cars).

Houses in Wales are such good value :smug:
According to zoopla £744,113
The moral of the story is stay the **** away from London if at all possible.

Nothing against Londoners it's just too damn expensive.

Actually, thinking about it; my house is probably worth about the same.

I keep underestimating just how much of a price difference there is between London houses and Welsh houses.

My house is;
Detached, has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge, front hall(a big front hall), kitchen, front garden, large drive(parks up to 3 cars, or 4 if you squeeze in), and a pond.(though the pond was kinda broken when we moved in. My dad completely rebuilt it and bought a pump and filter for it)
Oh and there's a shed. Or well, 2 sheds now, but we got 1 free off our old next door neighbour when he moved out, and it's kinda just sitting in front of the other shed, quite clearly not really meant to be there.

Technically, we also have a basement, but uh... there's no entrance. Bit of an oversight from whoever last repaired the place.(apparently, it was a ruin a while before we moved in)

Hahahah. That may be a joke for you, peasant, but for those of us in the high patriarchy of white christian billionaires, £63M is just like pocket change :fatcontroller:

*Currently worth, as that bubble is going to burst

how soon do you think?

im actually getting into house ownership, im worried the property im gonna get is gonna depreciate rapidly due to housing costs having reached its peak in london. the property is just outside london around medway. quite sad.
Well it doesn't mean anything, being that no one is defined by the value of their house. But because you asked a question, it is worth £647,000. Thought that was interesting - considering we bought it for approximately £400,000
Nothing, they give boxes out for free at tescos.

Its hard to say an exact estimate, but from 2020 is when I do expect for property values to decline, but it is inevitable.
Some of these new build properties or flats are really going to suffer.
