how many metal rods was it?? i got bloody 31 idek if thats even right, i just used mass/volume=density don't tell me that was wrong loooool

The volume was 9120
Each rod wieghed 72.96kg
You can put 3.4 on the trolley but you have to round down so 3 is the answer

49 on the non calculator paper counted around 55 on here will that get me a B do you think guys?

Last years paper was 98 overall for a B, but the mark scheme could change

Hi I'm going to start and unofficial markscheme so add your answers
Reps are not necessary but would be appreciated :smile:

It would be really useful if you could remember the question numbers
1. Order numbers correctly and include a key
b) 9/20=
0.45
2a. 5a*2b*3c =
30abc
b. Factorise fully 3y +6 =
3(y+2)
c. Expand x(x-3)=
x^2-3x
3.
x=9.25
4. Smallest packet was best value for money because it was cheapest per bag of crisps
5. 4 times as many red than green: There were 0.4 blue and 0.15 yellow.
0.4+0.15+4x+x=1
0.55+5x=1
5x=0.45
x=0.09
4x=0.36
Green- 0.09 Red- 0.36
6a. 20.3
b. 68.04kg
c. 2.61m
7. 3.8
8a. 4:3
b. 480 pixels
9.x= 124 degrees
10. 7.92
11.£42.29
12. x=144 degrees
13.
-2 -1 0 1 2
-1 3 1 -1 3
Draw curve
14. 3 Bars
15. No, because 7766.22 was greater than 7500 pounds
16. 128g
b.11g
17. 30.1
18. 10a^5b^4
b. y= 5p^2-x
19.11 males
20. x= 0.29 or x= -2.29
21. 29.25
22. F.d- 1.6, 3.2, 2.4, 1.8, 0.3
23.28.9
24a. -1/3x+4
b. 2x/(x+1)(x-1)
25. 80.4

Does anyone remember the question for 18?????
For the second part of Q1 I put 9/20..is that okay I did I need convert it to a decimal
And does anyone recall the Quadratic formula question?
Original post by niichola.
Question 15 did not equal to £7766.22
Because 1st year depreciated by 23%
so 0.77 x 15000 = £11550
then after the 1st year it was 18%
so 0.82 x 11550 = £9471
therefore no it was not more than half

It said THREE years so you had to times by 0.82 once more

Its 3.7 not 3.8, in the exam i took them away from the needed number and 3.7 was like 3 tenths closer to it than 3.8

3.75 gave the answer 33.98 etc.
so the answer was between 3.75 and 3.8 so you round up

It's okay!! You'll only lose like 1mark :P you'll get a mark for the correct table :biggrin:

Yeah. Silly mistakes I made:
- Used radius instead of diameter for circle perimeter question.
- Used 20 and 40 for lower and upper quartiles rather than 15 and 30 (doh!).
- Got the question with the simplifying the algebraic fraction wrong.

So all in all after realising these mistakes my confidence has taken a dip.

youve got this right but forgot to do compound intrest as it was 18% for two years,after the first year where it was 23%,you should get 2 marks

Rearranging formulae

Did anyone else get 396 (or around there) at some point during the pentagon question?

I did the exterior angles, then the interior ones. Calculated the two interior angles at the bottom, and the two right angles on the symmetrical lines (I think they were right angles)

Finally did 540 - 396oraroundthere

i got x = 144 i think dunnoo if its right
Original post by DOMAR34
Will I get 0 marks for that answer or maybe 1-2?

If the calculations were correct for the numbers you used/the way you tried to do it, you'll probably get a few method marks but the number depends on how many marks that question was.

But wasn't 3.75 closer than 3.7? I rounded it to 3.8 anyway because of that?

it was 3 metal rods 😅

na allow it howwwwww?
What grade is a 79 on the non calculator paper

How was your other exam thou?? If that went well you still have a high chance of an A*
Surely the trial improvement was 3.7? I think i worked out the distance from 34 and I think 3.7 was closer? Can't remember though

I got 0.2something and -2.2something
